We believe good technology should be accessible to everyone. That is why we invest time and resources in open-source projects — not as an image exercise, but as a natural extension of how we work. Every project listed below solves a real problem we or our clients have faced.

All projects are public on GitHub, with verifiable code, documentation, and contribution history. We do not promise — we show.

Why we contribute to open-source

The makeitcount philosophy means making every contribution count — not just for clients, but for the broader community. Open-source is our way of demonstrating expertise through actions, not statements.

When we solve a problem for a client, we ask ourselves: could this solution help others too? If so, we make it public. We lose nothing — we gain credibility, feedback, and sometimes contributors who improve our code.

mRemoteNG — Modernization with AI orchestrator

Our most ambitious project. mRemoteNG is a remote connection manager for Windows with 16 protocols (RDP, VNC, SSH, Telnet). We took over the project with 843 unresolved issues and modernized it using an AI orchestrator with 3 agents.

Results: 702 issues resolved, 6,175 tests, SonarCloud A/A/A

claude-vfp-skills — AI for Visual FoxPro

A set of specialized skills and prompts that enable Claude Code (Anthropic) to work efficiently with Visual FoxPro — a 1984 language that modern AIs do not know well. Geseidl has been using VFP for over 22 years in the Gestime ERP application.

What it does: enables AI to correctly read, analyze, and modify VFP code
Why it matters: thousands of VFP applications are still in production globally
Technologies: Claude Code Skills, VFP, SQL Server
Status: active, used internally daily

PuTTYNG — Modernized SSH component

A PuTTY fork integrated as the SSH component in mRemoteNG. Updated to the latest PuTTY version with security patches and .NET 10 compatibility.

What it does: SSH/Telnet/Serial connections within mRemoteNG
Improvements: automated build, CI/CD integration, security fixes
Status: active, synchronized with upstream PuTTY

mailinabox Geseidl Edition — Self-hosted mail server

A Mail-in-a-Box fork adapted for enterprise environments with NAT, external DNS, and advanced rspamd anti-spam. Used internally for the Geseidl email server.

What it does: complete email server (SMTP, IMAP, webmail, DNS, SSL certificates)
Improvements: NAT traversal support, external DNS (Cloudflare), rspamd tuning, archive mailbox
Status: active, deployed on MAIL02
