PrimAssist: how we built an AI assistant for public administration

The problem

Public administration receives hundreds of repetitive questions every day: what documents are needed, where to file them, what the deadlines are. The answers exist, but they are scattered across pages, regulations and forms. Citizens waste time, and officials answer the same questions dozens of times.

The solution: an AI assistant over the institution's knowledge

We built PrimAssist as an assistant that searches the institution's documents and procedures semantically (a RAG architecture) and answers in natural language, with the source at hand. Technology: Next.js frontend, FastAPI backend, designed with data protection (GDPR) from the start.
