PrimAssist, tested live in Măgurele: technology created with affection for local administration

It was a good few days. We worked affectionately on PrimAssist and brought it where it really matters - to the people. After the conference at UTCB on June 18, recently we were at Comuna Măgurele, Prahova County, where citizens and officials tested the live application, with real questions. We were also at the project presentations, and the idea was very well received.

In Măgurele, people got hands-on with PrimAssist

The most beautiful thing was to see PrimAssist in use, not just on slides. People asked questions just as they do every day at the counter - about taxes, urban planning, regulations, procedures - and the assistant responded in plain language, with the source in view, exclusively from the documents of the city hall. Without inventing, without any document leaving the institution.

For us, this was the confirmation that we are on the right path: when you see an official or a citizen receiving the correct answer in a few seconds - and understanding where it comes from - you realize that technology is indeed doing its job.

The idea, well received at the presentations

At the project presentations, the reactions energized us. The questions were concrete and applicable - a sign that the need exists and that a dedicated solution for local administration was anticipated. We left with even more conviction and a good list of ideas for the next steps.

What is, in short, PrimAssist

PrimAssist is an AI assistant for local public administration. It answers citizens and officials’ questions in natural language, exclusively based on the institution's documents - local council resolutions, regulations, procedures, taxes, urban planning. Each answer cites the source and is verified through a debate mechanism among several AI agents before being delivered.

It is built GDPR-first: it runs in the internal network of the city hall, conversations are not stored, and no document leaves the institution.

The framework: pilot in Măgurele, alongside partners

PrimAssist is piloted in Comuna Măgurele, in partnership with UTCB and with the support of the Interreg Danube - PilotInnCities program and Wallachia eHub. Goals set in the pilot: −40% time for finding information, +25% requests processed per official, −30% returns for clarifications, and over 90% accuracy of answers, with cited sources.

Moving forward

PrimAssist is, for us, more than a product - it is how Geseidl contributes to the real digitalization of the local public administration in Romania. We thank Comuna Măgurele, UTCB, and our partners from PilotInnCities for their openness and for everything we built together in these days.
