Half! Oh half by measure.
A new millimetric edition with En-Joi, on a Thursday
Hello! We have passed the milestone of the first half of the year. Wow! Dreams, aspirations, and all those thoughts float through your mind. Where are you now, at the halfway mark of 2025? Everything depends on your strategy, your team, and your partners. No one says it is easy to be an entrepreneur, but the taste of success is that something that gives you wings (as the advertisement says).
So! The last six months have been so-so, only that there will follow another six complicated months. Many legislative and tax changes, each more complex than the last. From differentiated taxation to amendments to the Tax Code, the Romanian entrepreneur must be increasingly attentive to details. It seems that the state is the major shareholder in your business. And indeed, it is! We must move forward for another six months and many more years, trying to combine entrepreneurial skill and the opportunities of the moment. It’s a time when vigilance and adaptability can make the difference between stagnation and progress. That's how it is in business.
What are we talking about today? About your ability to see the whole picture, without half-measures. Let's get specific. You have a business that you want to perform, right? Then allocate specific resources for this objective. You can't build something solid if you only invest halfway or if you delay important decisions. How far do you want to go? Yes, times of recession are forecasted. So? You can develop a business perhaps more than when mushrooms grow after the rain. Sometimes, it is precisely the lack of market enthusiasm that creates space for healthy ideas and solid strategies. And that means stability. It’s just like a tree with deep roots in a storm.
But! There is a but, not quite like the one at events, but there is one. The first but is to believe in your business, not to treat it as a mere opportunity. Ambition and consistency are the first elements of success, but not the only ones. Speaking of the but and consistency. In the beginning, the current Amazon had a small office and a single computer. The examples could go on with Apple or Microsoft. These might be stories, but reality is tied to your stubbornness to create a profitable and sustainable business in the long run.
Those who believe that entrepreneurship is about vacations or being the boss are far from the subject. Reality is often filled with constant efforts, difficult choices, and unseen sacrifices. This or that entrepreneurship is about rolled-up sleeves, about accountability and responsibility. You decide, most often with your own money and time. Your decisions can influence not just your future, but also that of your team. Success is just a short-term result. True achievement is to be able to replicate success, in a sustainable way, year after year.
So, the first six months of this fiscal and entrepreneurial year have passed. Check the numbers, analyze the indicators, monitor the strategy, make changes where necessary and move forward. It is time for a sincere and objective look at performance. Don’t be afraid of harsh conclusions — they are the beginning of real progress. Success doesn’t come overnight, or at least that’s how I see it. If something is going well, it should be maintained or improved, but if something is going wrong it needs to be radically changed. It takes courage to acknowledge what doesn’t work and discipline to make the necessary adjustments. It’s easier to fix things in time than to rebuild later.
That’s it for today! Another six months of fire ahead. Be careful about what decisions you need to make! Where is your entrepreneurial boat headed, and who are the partners you surround yourself with to achieve performance? It’s not just about numbers or well-structured strategies in Excel — it’s also about people. About your team, which stays when things are complicated and who lends a hand when you’re out of energy. About the camaraderie that sometimes saves a tough day, about the organization that brings clarity and about the mentorship that makes others grow alongside you. Don’t forget two important things! Besides purchases and sales, two essential departments in business, you need a brilliant marketing and a genius accounting. But above all, you need involved people who believe in what you’re building. Move forward with confidence to the end, no matter how hard it seems, don’t do things halfway!
So! We will hear from you next week with more energy and indicators measured to the millimeter.
