From October 14-18, 2024, several important legislative and fiscal updates in the field of accounting were introduced. Here are some of the most relevant ones:
- Changes to the VAT refund procedure for non-profit entities: Order no. 6.251 was published in the Official Gazette, providing clarifications regarding the VAT refund procedure for purchases made by non-profit organizations.
- The RO e-Invoice and e-Transport system: The use of e-Invoice and e-Transport remains a priority for ANAF, and taxpayers need to pay attention to the specific regulations in force, especially considering the reporting differences compared to the pre-filled values in the system.
- Taxation of micro-enterprises: In 2024, the tax on micro-enterprises remains differentiated based on income and activities. Thus, a rate of 1% applies to companies with revenues below 60,000 euros that do not engage in activities in certain areas (IT, HORECA, legal, etc.), while a rate of 3% applies to other cases.
- Reduced VAT rate: The reduced VAT rate of 9% for sales of housing intended for individuals has been maintained, according to the social provisions established by the Tax Code.
These changes can have a significant impact on companies, and the correct application of the legislation is essential to avoid fines.
