Kids. A new generation
A young edition focusing on En-Joi, on a Thursday.
Hello!
We have red rain and bad weather warnings, we are prepared, more than ever, for anything. And yet it is autumn, an autumn like any other and we as entrepreneurs are preparing for the last quarter of this year. We are practically at the sixth season of this format of these letters and there is a certain nostalgia. What have we done all this time? Nothing more than bringing to the forefront seemingly mundane elements that we ignore day by day. Why this? Because we are too busy with tasks, with objectives to see the reality around us. It is simple and full of challenges.
Kids? Yes! In the end, it doesn't matter what wealth you have, what you have done, and what huge performances you have had. What matters is what you leave behind. The generational exchange. That thing with... in my day is a past episode, forgotten in the mists of time. Does it matter what was? Not really! What matters is what is today, although experience plays an important role in the development of new generations. Yes, there is a need for the experience of seniors, but also for the euphoria of the young. It is a sort of FUSION between generations, a kind of relay between generations. It seems like a very complicated thing, but it’s simpler than you think.
It's about mentoring and involvement. It's easy to sit on the sidelines and comment, just as it is easy to give advice from the perspective of your generation. I confidently witness this generational exchange when young people want to demonstrate the power to change and those who, a few decades ago, started a successful business. It seems just an ideological war from which the future must win. It's said that we shouldn't reinvent the wheel or hot water. Why not? Anything can be reinvented if the foundation is one for development. Today I promised to write about a rice pudding recipe, that taste of childhood. Mmmm! If we add some cinnamon, it becomes something wow! It's that simple thing that unites generations. Do you know?
The moral of today is about mentoring. You are an example for any action of the young generation. We shouldn't blame their focus on social networks or for apparent superficiality. Everything is about speed, it’s about nanoseconds. Back in the day ... not even the second mattered, but the foundation of the business was important. Years have passed, many years and we owe it to leave behind a new generation of entrepreneurs capable of taking the business to a new digital level. You can't stop time, but you can make it contemporary through education and value.
See you at the next letter! It will be about a strong team, based on values and en-joy! 😊
